We are discussing SF fighters coming over to the UFC and getting immediate title shots, as Nick Diaz did (but then blew it by skipping press conference). His 3 wins before the title shot were Daley, Santos, and Noons as I so clearly laid out for you. You then are so fuckin stupid you find the most obscure website (whatever the hell mmavalor is) to try and prove your point completely missing the fact that June of 2012 was after BJ Penn and Condit? Some sites may rank fighters high because the UFC wants them there or they have big names. Nick Diaz has never beat a top 10 WW and that's a fact.

And cote was someone silva wanted to fight which was criticized repeatedly considering many feel he was undeserving of a shot.

I was responding to guardbreaker about turning down a "contracted fight" as that is how he defended GSP.

If the UFC wanted Anderson to face Weidman they would have made the fight. Having conversations with the UFC about POTENTIAL match ups is not the same as refusing a "contracted fight".

Such crap, take a break. We all found out that the UFC can't make anyone take a fight after 151 out of Dana's mouth. All they can do is strip, sound reasonable? Not to me either.

They offered the fight AS's camp and they declined. End of story.

Like I said, Anderdon has hardly fought the best, and very rarely has he took on tough stylistic match ups

Its important to note, Anderson took the Hendo fight at 185. Hendo is his weakest at that weight. Jake Shields and Yuki Kondo also have wins over a 185 pound Hendo.

What great fighters at 185 has Anderson been ducking all these years? I still never understand this argument.

Once it is 5 that average will certainly be lowered.

Dude take a brake from AS trolling for a damn day, take a breath bro. He was NOT taking about a 10 day replacement at the time.

Dana was asked what his (the UFC's) position was in being able to 'make any fighter fight another' (if it was in the contracts that the fighter had to fight) when the UFC wanted them to fight (were talking about the conference call when he went a little crazy here BTW). He answered that's not how this business works, and that the fighters have to fight because they are fighters, and he can not make them fight.

Per other sources I have supplied and you have likewise refused to accept this was not the first time as well.

Further you need to accept there is flawed logic in fighting
Rockhold over Weidman using the $$$ argument I always supported (suckered again).

Just look at at each fighters twitter following (as stated).

It's not worth not fighting the true #1 here, there just can't be that much of a $$$ difference.

The amount of idiot Silva hate in this thread is incredible. You guys don't have a single argument that is valid. He has fought and destroyed everyone the UFC has put in front of him. He has never turned down a a fight contract. Chris Weidman is HURT, and won't be 100% until at least May. Add a full training camp to that and he isn't ready for a fight until July or August. You really want your great white hope to fight Anderson coming off nearly a year layoff? Some fans you are.
