Doesn't Pacquiao keep up a much higher volume than Floyd? And he's more aggressive than Floyd. Imo this shows better conditioning. For example, in Floyd/Marquez and Pac/Marquez III, Floyd threw 493 punches, Pacman 578. |

Floyd is amazing but he is efficient. If day Sergio Martinez is better conditioned. Floyd is just the more technically sound better schooled smarter fighter.

yea i have no idea what a boxing gym or mma gym is like... i retired a middle of the road journeyman with a losing record but i had 12 pro boxing matches 45 pro mma fights(both can be verified with boxrec.com fight finder and the mma one on here... anyway point is i have done plenty of both kinds of conditioning~boxing only AND mixed/mma and i think a workout of boxing specific training takes more out of you than mma training. maybe it is just because my boxing coach pushed me harder i don't know. but that is my take on the training and it comes from years of experience and lots of fights both pro and ammy. also i believe floyd is the best athlete that is the most well conditioned and highest skilled out of any combat athlete. if you don't like my opinion or agree that is fine. all i ask is that you respect it. |

graciesrule - Cardio: maybe, but he doesnt do the 8-10 miles daily Marvin Hagler use to do. so what you are saying is because hagler ran too much that you think a prime hagler beats today's floyd? the world will never know but my opinion is that floyd takes it 7/10 times if it happened 10 times. |
