All major sports have a written code of conduct. Lol every time something tiny happens you have 10 guys jumping in crying about how this is never going to be a legit sport. Then they go and add something that every legit sport has and now it's taking away from what made the sport worth watching and killing freedom. Nba players aren't even allowed to wear what they want when they're injured and not playing. Heck they're not even allowed to wear their headbands upside down during a game. |

Rule #129 Don't kick out the window of a limo and then raise hell in a Station Casino after making a TUF finale. |

Great idea and nice to see Hughes being gainfully employed by the UFC. |

A couple of things, first of all it's great Zuffa is employing retired fighters especially guys who have been loyal and who have the desire to work and stay in the business. Secondly, almost every business, corporation, etc has a Code of Ethics or Standards in place. From McDonalds to Wallstreet there is always something like this in every work place so it's good Zuffa is implementing it into their business. Generally these type of things are not strictly enforced anyway and more of just a general message the company wants its people to project. As far as Matt Hughes being the guy to mentor and lead this thing seems a bit odd being that he doesn't seem like a very diverse and accepting guy of people who are different from himself but hopefully he can keep him and his personal beliefs out and project and instill what the UFC's message is into the fighters. Because I've met him a couple times and he was a dick, but I guess there wasn't any reason for him to care to be nice to me.

How do you announce a "code of conduct" complete with press release, and not include a release of such "code of conduct?" |

LOL, does anyone think Matt is actually going to sit down and pencil out a code of conduct for the UFC? Some suit is going to write up a draft, have UFC lawyers review it, get Dana's approval and MAYBE have Matt look it over. Then when Matt's not farming he'll make a few appearances and talk about how great it is to be a role model. |

Hughes code of conduct chapter one: Taunt and tease fighters much better than you on national television that you're supposed to fight later. get ass beat for it in front of world in a one sided pounding. go out of your way to call a fighter into a room you have no connection with just to tell him you don't like him (rashad) questions gentlemen? if they have to put a guy in this position someone more like rich franklin is a much better choice. matt is a very close minded hypochristian with no patience for people that don't think like him |

#1 rule in the conduct, Fighters may not take the mic from joe rogan. #2 fighters may not talk bad about the ufc in a post fight interview, or talk about how they're leaving. I wonder why it's implemented for this event eh. |

shaqitup -chaplinshouse - yeah i REALLY feel like Dana is inventing positions to hook up his friends. in a way i respect that but it's not in the COMPANY'S best interest at all. if u want to throw money at them for nothing just let them stay at home and pay them for it. Future headline: Dan Hardy retires. Gets UFC office position "senior technical director of fighter travel." Dana went on to say 'few fighters have racked up more flight miles than Dan Hardy, he's a perfect fit" |

I'm dying here that a couple of bozos are trying to turn this into a political thing. This goes double for the dude who somehow thinks this infringes upon HIS freedom. Ok. So I suppose they made this move because, as Dana has said anytime he or one of his fighters has done or said something stupid, everyone is such a PUSSY?

Wait a second. It has been stated that Matt and his brother raped an underage girl. It has been stated that Matt slept with the wives of his training partners while with Pat Miletich. Quite the role model for a Code of Conduct. |

It'll be nice when this sport gets big enough that it doesn't have to hire every former name fighter. These guys are figureheads anyway. Like 1986 WWF with "President Jack Tunney" when Vince Mahon was always running the show. Chuck and Matt are just Jack Tunney guys to shake hands and make the rubes buy the new product. Because a lot of fans weren't as interested after Chuck, Randy and Tito left so trotting them out on camera reassures people and is an attempt to sell you on the new fighters who just aren't as compelling as those guys.
