Just because Rampage has been acting like a retard lately doesnt mean that an even slightly 'unmotivated' Rampage couldnt knock Glover Texeria the fuck out. Page ko'd Chuck with ease and Machida obviously respected his power in their fight from 2010. He also lasted 4 rounds with Jones which is impressive considering that he never takes his training seriously anymore. What has G Lover done recently or ever? Hes on a 16 fight winstreak but most of his KO's wins are over dudes as nameless as Kimbo's backyard bbq victims and his last fight in the UFC he couldnt even KO a non-top 10 fighter who took the fight on short notice (and actually almost dropped Tex twice.) Of course theres the possibility that Glover gets a shot off and puts Quentin to sleep but the scales arent tipped in his favor kust cuz you dont like Rampage. |

Disagree as you have no evidence of his abilities from the last three years. Stating he's awesome cos he knocked out Chuck is the same as saying Micheal Hordan would still win MVP because he did in 98. I'm not concerned too much about his lack of motivation, but I am concerned about his ability to fight these days due to age, injuries and form over the last three years where he's not looked good since the Hendo fight really.

I would love to see Rampage win. However I just don't see it happening. He hasn't shown anything in almost 3 years that says he is the same guy he was. |

I can't pick it, he looked in good shape and confident and to be honest Glover looked a little surprised at Rampage getting "all up in his grill" - took him a fair while before he started talking back. Rampages KO of Wand was a thing of beauty, would love to see it again but kinda doubt it. Still he's certainly created a lot more intrigue for the fight and along with Pettis and Koch and the little guys this could be an epic card.

Tex has not even been in there with the same class of fighter that Rampage has been dealing with most of his career. Forget being a Rampage fan, it's called being realistic and not thinking Tex can do to Rampage what he's done to a litany of journeyman fighters. So far he's done nothing to prove he can hang on that level, and probably wouldn't be getting such a push if not for Chuck Liddell. If he wins this fight, then the hype is legit.. but he has to win it first. Anything else is just giddy fanboy enthusiasm or hatred for Rampage as a person. |
