That title shot was always dubious. Guy's last win before the layoff was Jonathan Brookins. I mean, really?

Who else is there at 45? Mendes pretty much proved it's impossible to take Aldo down, and Koch presented a good stylistic matchup for Aldo.

Aldo hasn't faced a pure striker in a while, and Koch has excellent striking.

Eric...good fight. We love your and your stand-up. Clearly, you have a great camp and amazing trainer, so I'm hesitant to come across as critiquing, but about 30-45 seconds before the fight ended I got up from my table and went over to the bar where my wife and a friend were. I told them that there was trouble coming because you had your shoulders and your head flat on the mat. Shortly thereafter, is when things went terribly wrong. I'm just curious to know if this is something you guys ever talk about in training. That is, having shoulders and head flat on the mat.

If you respond, or not, I wish you all the best. My two boys live near Milwaukee, and I plan to come visit Duke's gym in person sometime when I'm there. Heal up and best of luck in the future.
