I liked that octagon ring Pride used for those special shows.
Ropes were tight with no slack |

I Agree smaller cage and ring are the way to go plus the ufc style and judging solutions. |

Stigga - That would be really funny is they had 2 cages next to each other. One like it is now and one half the size with 4 feet fences and a midget ref and midget ring girls for the flyweights. It would be like the kids table at Thanksgiving. |

soremano -that's just silly. what they should do is find a way to tilt the octagon floor, so when a fighter just keeps backing up, they can tilt the floor so that he slides back to his opponent.

Square cage imo, give strikers the chance to back people into a corner.

How about taking it step further and make it a triangle cage? It would really be hell to be stuck in one of the corners of triangle cage. Imagine being in one of the corner with Lavars Johnson pounding away at you.

Ref dangles from a cord in the middle, Bruce announces from the top, Joe and Goldie rotate around the sphere in a rollercoaster like announce booth.... |

circulation123 -Good ideas .Bisping NEEDS to retire - Square cage imo, give strikers the chance to back people into a corner. Litmus think the square circle shape would allow strikers to circle corner their opponents even more!

They should have all the fights in various locations upon Mortal Kombat island. |

bigironmike79 - Don't they use smaller cages on fx and fuel fights? I think a smaller cage is cool. Less running. No matter what weight class. I believe when the UFC goes to smaller venues (like the Red Rock, and other similar venues) they will use a slightly smaller octagon to accommodate for the smaller venue. I'm not sure if they use a smaller octagon for FX and Fuel fights though. |

When the technology is there, the cage walls will expand or retract depending on the fight weight.
Heavyweight - 30' per side 205 - 29' 185 - 28' 170 - 27' 155 - 26' Anything below 155 - 25 feet per side.
It will be glorious! |

MarkRobinson - They should have all the fights in various locations upon Mortal Kombat island. Great idea, a fighter could get head kicked off the edge and fall onto a pit of spikes |

I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to cage size, but the larger cage is there to promote stand up fighting. A smaller cage would lead to much more grappling, and especially clinching. |
