haha i love it good for randy. dana eevntually hopefully his childish antics catch up to him. i mean seriously why wouldnt he sign randy to long term contract like other fighters?' its danas childish behavior thats all. good for randy. hopefully in the future there is more orgs and competition that way the figthters will get more leverage. good job randy and wish you nothing but success

Fighters need to be able to FIGHT for competing promotions during the prime of their careers, or else they will get the shaft in contract negotiations. Did Randy do dishonest things in his career? Add in what he did to dan henderson/lindland over team quest... It's not surprising what he's done to zuffa. They are getting a bit of their own medicine though.

And don't forget how he screwed over his "friend" who created Life Force... then Randy changed the name to Light (lite) Force, cut out his friend, and claimed it as his own.

Actually when the UFC pulled a very unexpected move and released the fighter pay for once, it turned out Couture was full of shit, the UFC had paid him alot, and he was really embarassed...

Not only was a check produced that showed Randy was getting paid(I think it was a 500K check) but Lorenzo got involved. With Dana doing PR work on stuff like this, you have to take things with a certain grain of salt. When Lorenzo comes out and starts dropping info it's bad for the person on the other end. I don't think too many people question Lorenzo's integrity on matters like that.

you gotta be joking me, he was in a business relationship with the UFC in which both parties benefited heavily. you make it sound like the UFC was doing him favors, they weren't, they are just as much about the bottomline as couture and would never have promoted him if he wasn't an amazing draw that made them boatloads of cash.

he isn't making boatloads of cash with the UFC anymore, of course he's going to be looking elsewhere for income. Zuffa sure as hell hasn't had any qualms about moving on.

SEG screwed Randy over, he had an exclusive contract that provided him with "training expenses". He was supposed to receive money every month, but SEG stopped paying it. So Randy left, yes he was the champion, but he had to eat. Back then it wasn't like today where he had endorsements etc.

The UFC wasn't run then like it is today for good or bad.

That said I don't see anything wrong with what he's doing now, but if I had an opportunity to go into business with him I wouldn't do it.

This is so fucking stupid. It's like saying "Oh, you worked at Apple for 8 years and now you're getting a job at Google? What a fucking asshole you are."

Dude, Randy is no longer employed with the UFC and should be expected to seek employment with whoever gives him a good offer and he would enjoy working with. Not only that, the UFC would obviously have fired Randy at any moment during his career if it made good business sense for them and nobody would have called it a stab in the back, because business is business, right?

The stupidity of hating on Randy for this is mind-bottling.
