It was a Sunday and me and a couple of guys were working on the new gym, putting some wall pads up in the grappling area. A photographer had organised to do a photo shoot in the ring/ cage/ striking area for a couple of "models". I use that term loosely, because these weren't stunners, just your average promo girls doing a shoot for their "portfolio", daddy's princess types, 18 years old with tight little 18 year old bodies, but nothing spectacular, ones you'd work over in the bedroom but you wouldn't put in work to get them to the bedroom, if you understand my meaning. So they're doing the shoot and I'm doing a shoot of my own (hey, you throw a cracker to a starving man, amirite?), and they decide to use the equipment, gloves, bags, etc. It's terrible. It goes from a couple of bangable chicks posing against a gym backdrop to a couple of chicks doing terrible technique in my gym. All I want to do is yell "you'll break your wrist punching like that", or "you've got to turn your hips over, that kick you're doing will do nothing". So when I see something like this, I try, oh god do I try, to focus on the reason for the video, that being hot arse chicks doing titillating things. But I can't. All I can hear, in particular with this video, is my instructor saying, "there's too much space, you can't give them that much space, keep it tight". Training has ruined me. |

Do you know how many times I've heard people tell me that grappling is gay and that having two guys fighting for position looks homo sexual? In my opinion if sexuality is attached to grappling one way then it only furthers the homosexual stigma that uneducated spectators attach to two men grappling. Ill stick to my girl friend and porn if I wanna see something sexy. Just my opinion tho. I realize something can be said for the intent but still idiots who think competitive grappling is homosexual will look at this and it will only further their beliefs.
