garrote -TheAssMurderer -98? I saw Meshuggah open for Slayer that year.
IIRC, that was the tour they were coming over here for. In fact, youre jogging my memory some - I think Slayer was supposed to play Milwaukee and cancelled. It must have been '98 that I'm thinking of. I thought it was '99. I quit going to so many shows starting in 2000. By 2003, I wasnt going to any really. Kinda sad thinking back on it, such a huge part of my youth.
I know for absolute certain that I saw their first ever live US performance - They were STOKED when they played. I met them afterwords, but didnt really hang with them. |

Yes. In 99. For whatever reason" Face paint wigger and the young juggalo squadron" didn't really sell no copies. That shit went double wood. Smh. People just didn't appreciate quality acts back then like they do now.

Band: Madison Label: Drive Thru/Rushmore/Geffen Records Instruments: Keyboard, Guitar, back up vocals Genre: Punk/emo (unfortunately lumped in with screemo) Only one official Release. Lots of legal problems with the label we decided to split up instead of fight to get out of contract. Last I remember the distribution company totalled our record sales to somewhere in the 50k range but we have no idea how many copies it has sold on I tunes |

Way back in my "gold teeth and 4-finger ring" days I was in this rap crew that released a hip-hop EP, not a full album. We sold like 500 of them out of the trunk of the car and gave away maybe 100 more. I listen to it now and it's terrible. A few years later I was in a rap/metal group and we recorded an album's worth of material that never saw light of day because we couldn't get a label deal. A little while later Limp Bizkit came out and made rap/rock gay anyways. Damn my luck. |
