Tito helped build the entire sport. In no world are his accomplishments eclipsed by Ronda, and I'm a Ronda fan.

You seemed to have missed an important qualifier in BLAF's statement:

She blows you out of the water when it comes to accomplishing things at the same point in your age and career.

Now try to pay attention next time.

It's already been explained on this thread which will save me some time, but just so you know...

Dana is essentially bringing up Ronda's Olympic experience as evidence that she's somehow succeeded more that Tito at the same age...an experience which has absolutely no bearing in her MMA standing or her MMA career. Tito's right in saying that she hasn't proven anything on the MMA stage yet.

Since Tito was talking about accomplishments inside MMA, and Dana wants accomplishments prior to coming into MMA I felt the someone else should be noted.

Herschel Walker prior to turning 26:
2× Pro Bowl (1987, 1988)
2× All-Pro (1987, 1988)
Heisman Trophy (1982)
Consensus All-American (1980, 1981, 1982)

What you do outside MMA doesn't mean you did shit inside MMA. Honda deserves a ton of credit for picking up where Gina left off. Difference being Gina actually fought Cyborg.
I welcome your down votes as I know this view is unpopular. I am just presenting another point of view on the matter. People will look back wondering why Ronda didn't fight Cyborg, and her legacy will be tarnished as a result. Fedor never fought in the UFC, and that makes many people look sideways at him. People will point out that Ronda could fight the weight Cyborg is at, but chose not to.

Just like how the only one of Rhonda's wins worth mentioning is Miesha? There isn't enough talent in the 135 womens weight class right now, just like how there was very little talent around at titos level at the start of his career...

I'm not saying Rousey isn't talented, but she looks more impressive than she actually is due to the low talent in the pool of fighters that exist in her division. You could say she is beyond the current landscape of her division, but the truth is her division is primitive.

Dana is a promoter who needs to sell her mythology. Nothing nefarious in that though, that's what promoters do.

KboyFresh - Dana's logic is mindless, sport grappling and MMA are two completely different things. Using one to justify a position in another doesn't make much sense to me.

Look at Tito's first nine fights and then compare them to Ronda's. I'm almost insulted that Dana would compare Tito's 40 minutes to Ronda's 10. Tito faced killers, Ronda not really.

Yeah, killers like Guy Metzger. Well, Tito lost that one, but...

I love how misogynistic foobs think 90s mma was more competitive than olympic judo. Being the first American to medal in a sport that has been practiced all over the world for over a hundred years is a slightly bigger deal than winning most of your matches in a sport that has 20 people competing in it. *eye roll*
