The late 90s early 00s had some monsters especially in pride and the vale tudo scene. Erickson Coleman Kerr Vov Fedor Mirko Sak even tho he wasn't 'scary' he was a technical monster Shogun Severn too. They way he use to rag doll guys and tackle them into the cage. Shamrock in uufc96. Pele The IVCs were awesome! Brutal rules and tournament.

I thought Severn was scary in ufc4 and 5. He was the first of the huge 250 lb wrestlers that would f people up.

Fedor just had an aura where he didn't seem beatable opponents must have had a lot of fear when fedor was walking into a ring/cage,anybody that takes that randelman slam and gets up and wins after it would scare me into thinking he could not be beat

Was just reading up on Kerr: "Kerr's first opponent was Greg Stott whom he defeated in 0:17 seconds from the opening of the fight, winning by way of knockout with a knee to his opponent's head. This fight is where the infamous "Just Bleed guy" made his appearance in the crowd" Awesome |

The beating that Kerr put on Varleans was hard to watch. That was a GROWN MAN taking a HORREDOUS beating. It was pretty graphic. Kerr was a savage back then. A real wrecking machine. Possibly the most dangerous man on the planet at that period of time. |

Tank in UFC 6 (I think that was his debut?) would have been a real handful for Royce, too. He went a damn long time against Oleg, score some FRIGHTENING knockouts, had good wrestling.. He was a handful. But, yeah, Kerr would have probably dome some serious damage to Royce due to the weight difference. Severn wasn't ANYWHERE as vicious as Kerr, and Ken wasn't as big, yet they still gave him something to think about. Weren't Kerr and Royce supposed to fight in Pride? That could have been really brutal for Royce had that fight actually happened. Like career-ending brutal. |
