I wasn't hating on Benevidez, I think he did enough to win the fight. He landed more strikes and stunned UC a few times.
At the same time, I wouldn't be mad if the judges had ruled it the other way. McCall had takedowns, better striking percentage, and didn't take much damage.
It wouldn't be the worst decision the judges have made. I root for fighters I'm a fan of, it's what people do. Phone Post

I had it 29-28 for Creepy, but I can see scoring it 29-28 Benavidez.

Still should have had a point deducted for FOUR groin strikes in the first round, which would have made it a draw (or a 29-27 win in my scoring). Kinda hard to keep fighting after being hit low four times by someone as strong as Benavidez that early in the fight.

Four low blows in one round should cause at least a point deduction. Phone Post

But all of the top for guys (Johnson, McCall, Benavidez, and Dodson) would be top contenders at 135 as well. So it gives the division a sort of a pass imo. They'll bring in more guys but I feel like they'll just be guppies for the big fish to swallow. You have ignored this user.

I am of the opinion that a point should have been deducted as well. Four groin shots... after the second warning he should have had a point deducted.

If that were a five-rounder, we'd likely have fight of the night right here. This fight was awesome, I just really felt that, with the nutshots- a point should have been deducted... then this fight would have been a draw, as it was IMO.

Would love to see them go at it again, five rounds, main event of a UFC on FX/FUEL. Would be great- Ian is always impressive and constantly improving, Bene and this is the type of fight to pull more fans into the sport. Phone Post
