Al-Qaeda was created by the U.S, whether or not the intention behind it is Al-Qaeda today is debatable though. |

Galt - Al-Qaeda was created by the U.S, whether or not the intention behind it is Al-Qaeda today is debatable though. "They" received funding more outstanding than the US ever gave them. "They" are not a true product solely of the US intelligence structure designed after the end of WW2 to protect all of humanity. |

TryhardNobody - I agree totally with many points he made about the Seal (Mr Kyle) and ill take a freezing or ban if i have to. Its despicable that Mr Kyle lied about knocking out a fellow Seal and former Governor. It is horrible that the other Mr Kyle was shot. But he did lie. Which makes this whole situation strange and it should be talked about. Jesse came out for 9/11 Truth, Mr Kyle lied about what Jesse said and fighting him to smear his name, then Mr Kyle turns up dead. It is an extremely strange turn of events and reminds me of Pat Tillman who got himself in over his head, ran his mouth to wrong ppl and was killed in a cover up.Not one of the seals involved in the Bin Laden raid died in that helicopter crash. Stop spreading lies.

FYI. Normally the "Free so and so" threads or threads talking about a frozen member are usually sent to what if, which is where I am going to move this to. Didn't want anyone thinking it was a conspiracy or anything LOL. Any questions, let me know :) |

I read that whole SEAL thread and i didn't see anything that warranted being banned or even frozen. People were saying kyle was a hero and EY disagreed with that opinion. Some people on the opposite side have done virtually the same without being banned and they continue to do so without repercussions.

It's funny that Ron Paul would've gotten frozen for what he said about the Navy seal's death.

I have said it before, and I will say it one last time: EY was not frozen for his beliefs or his personal views. The content was not the issue, nor was anyone else's agreement or disagreement with his positions. He was frozen because of where, when, and how he chose to express those views, not only on the Chris Kyle thread, but on other threads where people were trying to discuss unrelated topics and he chose to try and derail the threads by spamming them with what he wanted to talk about. When he was told that these actions were not appropriate, he persisted belligerently. He had every opportunity to create his own threads, but chose instead to troll and spam threads that were not dedicated to his chosen topics. Again, I don't care what his options are, I care when, where, and how he chose to express them. I don't care what Westboro Baptist thinks either, but I do care when, where, and how they choose to voice those opinions. Same principle. Again, I did not freeze him, but I support the action 100%, and am repeating myself here in explaining why. This is the last I'll say on the topic barring significant reason to reply again.

"When he was told that these actions were not appropriate, he persisted belligerently." Was he told by a moderator(s) or angry posters? Just curious.

^ ^ Basically you are saying "I have made up my mind and refuse to even entertain the idea that I might be wrong." Let me ask you this, do you honestly believe EY's intention was to troll those threads? He was giving his opinion on the topic, relating ideas he thought were relevant. He did this in a way that was respectful to the deceased. With your mindset, you can call virtually any speech that upsets people trolling, because you do not take intent into account. Intent should be a significant factor when you are decide if a person's actions deserve punishment. It seems however that you so not care at all about intent. EY was told his actions were inappropriate by people who clearly could not control their emotions. Do you really believe that people who cannot control their emotions are somehow able to objectively decide what is appropriate? I have seen plenty of people in this thread and the other state that EY was respectful and not out of line. Clearly , this is not so cut and dry as you are pretending. Why not let the community speak for itself? The reality is, EY was frozen because of the content of his opinion. His intent was not to troll, so labeling it as trolling is simply dishonest. Certain mods are stifling free speech, regardless of how you want to spin it. That is pathetic. Abuse of power is one of the easiest ways to see the weakness of one's character. I can only imagine the weakness of character one must have if they can not resist abusing the tiny bit of power given to them as a moderator on an internet forum. So we are clear, I'm talking about the mod that froze EY, not you. |

Kostakio - "When he was told that these actions were not appropriate, he persisted belligerently." I believe one mod suggested it was not appropriate, but he did so in a way that seemed like he was simply offering his opinion. There were no warnings given. Whichever mod froze EY, I wonder what their personal opinion of EY is, because I believe their personal bias was a significant factor. |

GMB13 -I asked you in the other thread that was apparently deleted, do you think it was an appropriate thread for EY to say Kyle was not a war hero?Kostakio - "When he was told that these actions were not appropriate, he persisted belligerently."

He should be unfrozen in just a few hours, so I'm sure he'll be back here in triumphant return from exile with lots of righteous indignation around which you all may rally.
