CompanyBlue -Fitchhelpsmesleep - Yeah bud. As you said the boxing talk is just talk until a contract gets signed, but the word is JMM is looking at him for a possible tune up before taking a big fight. |

Barry_BondsMVP - two things from this Devon talk, 1. Like someone mentioned already, might be a negotiation ploy with Guerrero. Floyd will do alot to get people talking. Just look at the 50 situation (supposedly in the dark is that 50 tried to shake him from Haymon though). I'm actually interested to see what Alexander has to say about all this. He can't be happy |

Barry_BondsMVP - I'm really starting to like Bryant Jennings, he's willing to step up and fight Mitchell. he also said he's willing to step in against wlad, since wlad is supposededly having a hard time finding an opponent. imo he beats mitchell |

CompanyBlue - I would rather watch Floyd hit mitts in the gym than have him go with Devon. This fight is so terrible I don't think it can really be legit. Devon and his family would be lucky as hell to land this fight. Much luckier than all the gift decisions he has gotten in his career. I'd feel a little disrespected as a boxing fan if this is Floyd's next fight. It would be his 7th fight in 7 years to the day on Cinco de Mayo and Devon Alexander is all we get? berto had several hbo fights so he was somewhat known to the casual fan. and it seemed as if he was being built into a future challenger for floyd. so the public feels. like he is pretty good. he had the terrific fight with ortiz. if you can beat berto then you are pretty good, bottom line. factor in a legit thrilling win over a championship level fighter and mexican roots and guerrero is a no brainer for may 4th |

Team Alexander To Floyd: Pick Guerrero To Keep Your '0' Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62163#ixzz2KGEQcD5c This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Ryan Burton The social media networks have been buzzing ever since pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) dropped his bombshell tweet stating that IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (24-1, 13KOs) was the frontrunner to be his opponent on May 4th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Prior to the Tuesday tweet, it was widely thought throughout the industry that it was a mere formality that Robert Guerrero would be the one facing Mayweather on Cinco De Mayo weekend. Alexander's manager and trainer Kevin Cunningham threw more gasoline on the fire when he exclusively told BoxingScene that Mayweather's only option is facing Guerrero if he wants to keep his perfect record intact. Earlier today, Cunningham said Alexander is going to receive weeks of therapy to heal his right bicep injury, but he would be ready to fight by April. "Floyd says Devon is the frontrunner to get the fight but I don't blame him for taking his time with making a decision. Because if I know Floyd he wants to keep his '0', so he better choose Robert Guerrero," Cunningham said. |

Mayorga eyeing MMA again lol Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62139#ixzz2KGEr5t5G This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Jhonny Gonzalez Once again, Nicaraguan boxer Ricardo Mayorga, 39-years-old, is planning to return to action in the boxing ring, but the former two division champion is also planning to make his debut in Mixed Martial arts (MMA). During a crowded press conference at the press conference in the Casino Pharaohs of Managua, Nicaragua, Mayorga was present to discuss a boxing return on February 22nd as part of a show that will be organized by the property development company Omega, and take place at the Casino Pharaohs. Nevertheless, Mayorga clarified that his debut in MMA will take place between April and May. And he said that he received permission from promoter Don King, who approximately three years ago filed a lawsuit to prevent the boxer from his MMA debut in the United States. Mayorga has not fought since March, 2011, when he was stopped in the twelfth round by then WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto in a Las Vegas battle. |

I dropped a bunch on Botha +115 over Sonny Bill Williams (rugby player). Botha down to his lowest weight in years. SBW very green with only 5 fights (2 debutee's, 2 with losing records, one a tad over. 500). The fight is for a belt and scheduled for 12 rounds...SBW has never went past 6. |

Eddy Payeur - Thanks Barry, but it ended up being a loser...... since they changed the length of the fight in mid fight, wouldn't that mean all bets off? |

No sir. Only over/unders and prop bets are voided. Win and draw bets still stand. Bummer because Botha said his plan was to drag the youngster into deep waters...yet thats the time they switched the fight from 12 to 10. Good chance IMO that this gets overturned by the boxing commision, but it wont mean shit to me. Graded wagers are hardly overturned on boxing/mma (although a few books did give back money on botha wagers....of course, mine wasnt one of them lol) |

Readin on a couple sites that the Guerrero/Mayweather signing issue is over Guerrero pushing for a couple more dollars.
Also caught an article on that Botha fight, supposedly judges were even surprised as ring announcer stepped in to announce the last round for 10th. |

Ishida Has No Fear of Golovkin, Plans For a War Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62191#ixzz2KMBP7sEe This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Hisao Adachi A press conference was held at Green Tsuda Boxing Gym in Osaka City, Japan - where Japanese #15 world ranked WBA middleweight Nobuhiro Ishida (24-8-2, 9 KOs, 37 years old) officially announced that he would challenge undefeated middleweight world champion of the IBO/WBA Gennady Golovkin (25-0, 22 KOs, 30 years old and resides in Germany) on the 31st of March at Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monte Carlo. Ishida has already left for Los Angeles, where he plans to starts his training camp with Rudy Hernandez. Ishida knows the danger involved and he expects a real challenge, but that doesn't stop his motivation to make it a war. "I think at this moment Gennady Golovkin might be the strongest man in the world at middleweight. Gennady Golovkin is the toughest opponent among those that I've faced in my boxing career. This could be my last opportunity worldwide. I'm going out there to make it a good fight and come forward despite the danger of being knocked out. Whenever there is will power, it could break many barriers that are in the way," Ishida said. |

Hearn: Alexander-Brook Could Head To Garcia-Judah Bill Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62196#ixzz2KMBpvHEd This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Luke Furman Promoter Eddie Hearn is working with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer to reschedule the welterweight fight between IBF champion Devon Alexander and mandatory challenger Kell Brook. The two promoters spoke last night and Hearn says Golden Boy is potentially going to place the fight on the Danny Garcia-Zab Judah undercard, which takes place on April 27th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. "I spoke to Richard Schaefer last night. I believe they are trying to pair it with Garcia and Judah in New York, potentially in April. Kell is ready," Hearn told iFilmLondon. In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com , Schaefer rejected the rumors of ongoing negotiations to make a fight between Alexander and WBC champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. The rumors began on Tuesday when Mayweather made a tweet which named Alexander as the "frontrunner" to fight him on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Alexander suffered a right bicep injury last week and withdrew from the fight with Brook on Monday. It was scheduled to take place on February 23rd in Detroit, and prior to that it was set to move forward on January 19th in Los Angeles, but Brook withdrew with a hurt ankle. Hearn never believed Mayweather's tweet, calling it "a setup to make [Robert] Guerrero sign quicker." The IBF also confirmed to Hearn that if Alexander accepted another fight contract, the belt would become "vacant" and Brook would then fight the highest available contender for the title. |

Bradley Wants Random Drug Testing For All His Fights Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62182#ixzz2KMC7akvl This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Luis Sandoval You can add WBO Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley to the growing line of boxers who are now both participating and requiring Olympic style random drug testing for their fights. Bradley is set to tangle with Ruslan Provodnikov March 16th and both fighters have agreed to both random urine and blood testing leading up to their bout. Floyd Mayweather pioneered this drug testing movement that has been adopted quite frequently and has almost become a prerequisite for many big fights. Bradley states not only will be using random drug testing for this fight, but he will be doing it for every one of his fights going forward. “This is going to be for pretty much for every single fight. Every fighter will be tested. If you want to fight with Tim Bradley, you want to fight with myself, you got to be tested because there’s a lot of athletes out there that are not clean. They’re not coming forth and they’re not cleaning up themselves so I definitely want to try to clean up the sport” Bradley would tell BoxingScene. “I want to show the fans, I want to show world that I’m a clean athlete. I do all of this and I get on top with my vegan diet and good nutrition and good genetics. So I want to the world to know that. And every athlete that gets in the ring with me will have to be clean as well. If not we definitely will get that mice out of the bag if we need to”. Initially there were reports that testing would be administered by VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association) but it now appears USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) will be getting the call. When Bradley was asked why the switch, he stated he knew more about USADA than VADA. “USADA that’s what I know. It’s what they use in the Olympics. I went with USADA because that’s what I know. I don’t know VADA. I don’t know anything about VADA” stated Bradley. Bradley will be making the first defense of his world title that he won after defeating Manny Pacquiao last June and hopes to remain extremely active this year after having a 9 month layoff. |

Erislandy Lara vs. Emanuele Della Rosa WBC Eliminator Article Link - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=62170#ixzz2KMCXIdKw This is a legal waiver. By copying and using the material from this article, you agree to give full credit to BoxingScene.com or provide a link to the original article. By Miguel Rivera The World Boxing Council has advised BoxingScene.com that WBC International champion Emanuele Della Rosa (31-1, 8KOs) will be the opponent for Erislandy Lara in a final junior middleweight eliminator. Della Rosa lost in 2009, by split decision, to middleweight Sebastian Zbik. Lara (17-1-2, 11KOs) faced Vanes Marirosyan in a final eliminator last November. They went to a nine round technical decision draw after Vanes suffered cut above his left eye from an accidental clash of heads. The WBC ordered them to fight again, but Vanes took a pass with no written contract clause for the winner to get a guaranteed shot at WBC champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. |
