this is the best season yet... it's like watching MMA's version of "any given sunday".

as far as the ratings go... it's pretty much the same numbers as when spike placed tuf on tuesday nights at 9pm.  the brock/jds season has about the same average as this season.  the brock season went as low as 1 million... let's see if we get to that with this one.

the most important factor for the UFC is that it seems they have stopped the bleeding that was caused by being buried on friday nights and on fuel... and the UFC's audience has come back.  we're now seeing record UFC ratings on FX (fight nights, prelims, and tuf).  The most important factor for the UFC was to get their audience back.

When they move to fs1, tuf needs to be placed on wednesdays at 10pm (which is the best slot for it) along with replaying it throughout the week. Also, Big fox  needs to replay it as well on tuesdays at 11pm (to promote the new episode the following day on fs1) instead of airing silly reruns.

tuf's debut episode was replayed on big fox and it got 1.2 million viewers on saturday night 11pm.

if FS1 can get 1 million plus every week and the fox replay 1.2million... the UFC will be golden.

TopGrinder -  If u think about it the ratings are horrible. Was better ratings bisping vs miller on spike.

Now TUF is back on tues night, in hd finally, superstar coaches on fx and ads for it everywhere and it still did a worse number.

No matter how Dana wants to spin it dude is probably not happy. When u got the number one show on tv American idol promoting UFC during their telecasts and not producing ratings that can touch spike tv then u know u gots a problem Phone Post

bisping vs miller aired at 10pm on wednesdays.  brock vs JDS aired at 9pm on tuesdays... this season is pulling pretty much the same as the brock vs jds season on spike.  is it because they are on the same timeslot?  obviously it's not a coincedence.

also consider that UFC was spikes flagship product.  tuf is an afterthought for FX.

if they gave tuf the wednesday night 10pm slot they'd pull around the same numbers as bisping/miller pulled on spike.

now that the UFC is moving to fs1 where they will be a flagship product, and where they will likely get the best timeslots (wednesday 10pm) and where they can concentrate most of their first run ufc content cross promoting each other (like they had on spike bur more) we'll see the UFC establish an audience bigger than the one they had on spike.

I don't really care about ratings, this is the highest quality show I've seen, ever. I think word of mouth from the KO of Hall will generate more viewers. Either way, it doesn't change the fact that this show is extremely good. Much better talent, and more about the fighters, training and not about the unnecessary drama.
