The link below is to a video fight feature on Dan Henderson, shown training for his fight against Lyoto Machida and talking about it of course. He says, "I definitely will put him on his back whether it's with a takedown or with my fist." Also talks about Machida's assets as a fighter and having to respect his power even though he's not really a heavy hitter. He says he won't wait for a title shot and plans to fight 3 times in 2013 and through 2014 as well. The fight feature is available at the link below. We have many other clips with Dan coming out soon including him talking about Anderson Silva, Jon Jones & Chael Sonnen. http://mmainterviews.tv/2013/02/12/dan-henderson-feature-for-fight-against-lyoto-machida-at-ufc-157/ |

Take him down, fist him, raise hand in victory. Too bad Machida will take your fisting. This is a young man's game, Dannyboy. |

Anderson Emelianenko GOAT - only wrestler who will take Machida down at 205 is Jones. Yea it's an interesting clinch no doubt here. Both are VERY strong there. I don't see Dan really trying too hard for the TD, It's control in the clinch he'll aim for IMO. |

yellow c0ckahlc - Greetings again my fellow philosopher. Machida is a student of the kata; much like his Austrian karmic counterpart. I agree with your succinct and guided vision. |

dhughes -yellow c0ckahlc - Oh my, what a pleasant surprise! I truly was not expecting your presence for another ten years, so you can understand my shock. I see the years have treated you well, my friend. Machida's strength knows no bounds, as opposed to henderson's abilities which have done nothing but escape him over the years. When a fighter must use an outside source to stay in such a demanding sport, it is always wise to bet on the man who creates his own luck, his own path, and his own victory. For hours, I spent watching the stars tonight, following each strand of light to the next one. It was in the sky that I was drawn to a large beam of glaring white, beautiful in every way imaginable. It was then that I knew Lyoto was next to capture victory. |

Well I don't see him having the ability to take him down repeatedly or control him once he dumps him, machida has very solid tdd. This fight will be a striking affair.

yellow c0ckahlc -dhughes -yellow c0ckahlc - We speak the way we do so that others can understand, when the time is right, yet no words are needed. When Zen Master Joo Joo was returning from the privy, a young monk dared to asked the question, what is Buddha nature. Joo Joo replied, "dry shit on a stick." What is Buddha nature? What is dry shit on a stick? Katz! In the spring time the grass grows green. Machida will win this fight. |

dhughes -yellow c0ckahlc -dhughes -yellow c0ckahlc - We must, otherwises those whom do not understand will never understand. In due time, fellow posters, you will get it. The larger picture. The endgame. The solution. Joo Joo never explained his complete thoughts on paper, but rather...in his mind. It was Lyoto's responsibility to figure out just what he meant. I'd say your assumption is right. Lyoto has done just fine since departing from his sensei. He will win. |
