Oops he did it again. Nick Diaz was scheduled to fight GSP for the welterweight championship at UFC 137 when he no showed two pre-event press conferences. UFC president Dana White removed him from the title shot, and the attendant points on the PPV, etc. Now Diaz has another shot at the title, and he has, despite statements from his attorney to the contrary, missed not two but three "UFC Primetime" interview sessions. White does not want to scrap the UFC 158 title fight, but he will. "I hope we don't come to that," said White said at Saturday's post fight media scrum. "I'm close, man. I'm really close. And I don't want to be. You know, it sucks, none of this is easy, these two girls worked their asses off this week, man, and I know what it feels like, it's not fun. It's part of the job." "He did not (show up) – neither did his brother Nate. And we spent over $50,000 in production costs and guys cruising around Stockton, Calif., and not interviewing people. "It's not funny. We're very cool and very lenient in a lot of ways. Look at this company. Look how we are. We let a lot of things fly. But that's just absolute bulls---." "We've treated Nate and Nick with respect. Anytime they come in and want to negotiate their contracts, we do the things, we're good to everybody. At least give us the respect to show up and not blow $50 grand on not showing up for interviews you're supposed to do. "All the fans are like, 'Shut up, Dana. Let Nick fight.' You shut up, idiots. This is how it works. This is how it work, okay? This is the job, this is what we do. Go to your job and tell your f---- boss ‘yeah I don't want to do this or do that.' That's not how it works. It's part of the job. I've shown the Diaz brothers a ton of respect. They can show some respect back. "I hope I don't even have to think about that. It's the last thing on earth I want to do." |

This is actually the latest from White: "He did it," White told reporters. "He did what he was supposed to do." Nick has, in fact, fulfilled his contractual obligations. |

" DFW: Diaz 'really close' to losing GSP title fight" The beautiful thing is that Dana needs this fight more than Diaz does. Diaz genuinely doesn't give a fuck about formalities and protocols. If he'll fight, he fights. If not, he doesn't care. If the fight wasn't such a moneymaker Diaz would've lost it a long time ago. |

GarlicSauce - " DFW: Diaz 'really close' to losing GSP title fight" Do you honestly believe what you're saying? Dana can have GSP fight anyone and it will make money. This is Nick's last chance at a UFC title. |

GarlicSauce - " DFW: Diaz 'really close' to losing GSP title fight" Dana owns the UFC. Nick Diaz could stop fighting and become a bee keeper and the UFC would be fine. Take away the UFC and Nick Diaz' income and profile would plummet dramatically. The relationship is not even, and Diaz is not being asked for anything unreasonable - these are contracted media obligations. |

If Nick manned up, then that is cool. He was gifted this title shot and shouldn't mess around again. |

Nick not fulfilling his contract obligations says one of two things to me... 1. He is afraid of GSP or 2. His mind is riddled with a lot of doubt or even 3. Both... Bottum line is, we all work for somebody and we can not go telling the HNIC what time it is. I do not see the fear in Nick's eyes, but I definitely see it in his actions... Go out like a MAN Nick, not a mouse! |

GarlicSauce - " DFW: Diaz 'really close' to losing GSP title fight" This fight is a moneymaker due to who is opposite Nick Diaz, not Diaz himself. Diaz is 'GSP opponent' and not much more and nothing that couldn't easily be replaced with Hendricks as 'GSP opponent'. |

Why would he take you serious? He knows you aren't going to pull the plug on this. He lost his last fight, gets suspended for a year for drugs, then comes back for you to move him into the #1 contender spot. We all know you aren't going to cancel this fight, especially since Rory is now out.

Nick Diaz is a complete morron! he isnt even a great fighter, but has the attitude thing going for him and then fucks things up for himself...it's like winning the lotery and give away your ticket...JC what an idiot... |
