machida has no problems selling ppv's. look up his sales if you want. they are fine. chael has never sold anything outside of a silva fight, and of course there will be big buys for an undeserved title fight against Jones. Outside of that, he hasn't sold shit. LOok at Machida's last 5 or 6 ppvs. all around 500,000+ Machida's drawing power is not a problem, it is a myth. In fact, Machida drew better against shogun than jones, and nearly the same against rampage. Look at Machida headlined cards here. not too bad, if you ask me:

Aldo Florian were also on it. im pretty sure people are allowed to buy a card for fights that are not the main event. the point is Chael sonnen doesn't necessarily get sales if the circumstances aren't just right for him.
You can't seriously look at Machida's numbers and make a valid point that he doesn't sell. Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard don't sell. Matt Hamill and Thiago Silva couldn't sell main events against guys who typically pull good numbers. Dan Henderson doesn't sell well as a headliner. Lyoto Machida is none of those guys.

Yup not a huge seller but it showed that Chael essentially brought in no views
LOL most fans don't even know who's fighting on a card beyond the headliner, and that's only cause they saw it when they ordered the PPV
