Why the hell were they on the PPV? Horrible fights with guys I've barely heard of. Not to mention they included guys that fit the cliche' of tatted up white dudes doing poor kickboxing.

throw away fights to fill space..u have to undertstand that with the number of ppvs that GSP pulls, the ufc is not going to stack cards with him on it because they would have to pay out ppv points to multiple fighters, which doesnt make economic sense...

Because they knew people were gonna buy the card on Condit/Hendrix and Diaz/GSP so they didn't wanna make it more stacked when they could use it for another PPV.

Yea those first 2 fights were absolutely not something that should have been on a major PPV card, particular the Ricci fight.

Thankfully Ellenberger woke everyone up.

THIS IS WHAT DANA WANTS!  Despite mocking the boxing model, this is what it is turning into - cheap TUF guys that people barely recognize filling out a card with a huge main event.

Although I enjoyed the GSP/Diaz fight, Condit/Hendricks saved the entire card for me. I would pay to watch those two go at it every weekend haha.

To be fair, the card really had 2 main events, and a very high quality 3rd fight. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise.

I live in Montreal and have seen 90% of Ricci`s fights during local shows, he is always boring unless hes getting beat up. No clue why what they were thinking puting him on PPV

And Nick Bor ring should never be on a main card

I was there and it was getting really frustrating by then, because they followed a few other lacklustre fights from the preliminaries if I remember correctly. I was pretty drunk by then so I will have to watch when I return to BC in a few days. Nick Ring is no fun at all.........saw him in Calgary last summer as well. No disrespect to the other fighters, but this event was really all about the last three fights. Story did a nice job though, and I was preoccupied when Miller got beat down.

Cote should not fight at home. He is jinxed in Montreal.

The Ricci-Freakshow fight made zero sense as a PPV opener.  I was watching with 3 friends and none of us paid any attention to the fight until the decision was announced, we might as well have changed the channel for the entire duration of that fight.

Ring-Camozzi was OK.

I dont normally ever post in these threads, but I'd have to agreee 100% on this one. Rick Story said he wished the UFC had given him some love with his fight on either the fox show or the PPV since it ended quick.

I guess it is what it is...

Glad you enjoyed it lol!

Sorry bro. Things in fights don't always go as planned. Maybe you can coach me sometime on my kickboxing. Aside from what you might think, it's pretty hard to execute things while being punched but you must know that from all the kickboxing you do Phone Post

As a Canadian, I'm glad you got the win over Ring.

The UG is a great place for fans to comment on what they think about the cards/fights. Some people are dicks about it. Some people are just stating their opinion. Some people will swing off all fighters nuts like Tarzan.

Take the good from the bad.

The first two fight looked like they should have been held in a feeder organization. The UFC can do better than that.

i wouldn't call it just an off night, nick ring is just a tough opponent, and if i recall correctly you both were trying to counter eachothers strikes.

i picked u to win in a MMAjunkie fantasy fighting game, and u won it for me. so thanks chris :)
