If you have time, could u explain why no using the suit before, also keep guzzling 6 litres till trommoorow at 5? thanx again, i actually cant thank you enough, you've made a massive difference to me and really calmed me down alot just because i know where my advice is comming from. |

because if your body is letting it all out now it will try and hold it in thinking that is all it is going to get. Trust me on this you will be fine as of tomorrow. Is tomorrow Wednesday for you? It is Tuesday for me. |

I'm home i just did one sweat session, i was waiting for instructions though :) "Please don't do this until I take you through it step by step. " I am down to 65kg's. (143lbs) 2.5 kg's/5.5 lbs to go by tommorow night. |

Well here is the normal game plan anyway. 24 hours before cut ALL food and water. Do one cut session before you go to sleep. You will lose about 3-4 pounds. You will lose about 2 over night pissing because of cutting the water. Do another session in the Am depending on where your weight is when you wake. Chill the rest of the day and you might just be 1 or 2 over and you will lose at least one of those throughout the day with small pisses and doing nothing. At most you might need to do one more and start that 1.5 hours before weigh-ins and be ready 30 minutes early. Let me know if there is anything you need to know or question. |

Chris, If you wouldn't mind, can you explain the cut session in detail. I've never cut weight so I'm most interested in: what exact plastics you use, how you put it on, what you wear over it, how long the session lasts, and what you do during the session (cardio, or just do nothing). I know you'll cover this later, but I'll just ask right now, after you weigh in, what have you found to be the best way to replenish what you've lost and in what amount of time. Thanks again Chris, now I feel confident in going down to the next weight class for my next tournament :-) |

Hey westside, leaving home now to fly to where the fight is at. Got a bit less than 5 lbs left, gonna do a second session when i get there, did one this morning already, feel ok i guess. gonna spit alot on my way there lol and have a sauna or another sauna suit session. Wow. This guy has already done a sauna session, is going to fly the day before his fight, and then do more sauna sesssions after the flight? (my head is splitting just thinking about that). Chris--have you done all of this and took a flight on the same day? I would also be interested to hear what exactly "plastics" are, what is involved with a sweat session, and what you do after the weigh in to add back the weight safely and effectively. I feel like a voyeur on this thread--but pretty interesting stuff. Good luck Lemon. |

Plastics are like a plastic sweat suit. You put on the Albolene and then the plastics. On top of that yu should put on some sweats and sweatshirt. Sometimes I will put on a jacket on top. You will either jump rope, run, shadow box, or sit in a sauna and shadow box. I do 5 minute rounds for about 30 minutes. Sit around for the next 30 and let it pour out of you. You should lose about 3-4 every session. I do one right before I go to sleep the night before a fight. Another one when I wake up, and if need be one more about 1.5 hours before the weigh-ins. AFTER WEIGH-INS: Start to sip on Pedialyte until you finish one of the large bottles or a couple of the smaller ones. Eat some wheat bread to keep your stomach settled and then begin to start putting chicken and stuff back in your body. Protein bars and stuff are ok as well. You should be pounding the water until you finish a gallon the same night after weigh-ins. Your piss will get darker while you are cutting and you don't want to let it get brownish because that is kidney problems. As you are re-hydrating you wanna keep drinking a ton of water until your piss is getting to be clear again and then you will know that you are re-hydrated fully again. After cutting so much water you usually won't piss for until you are almost 3/4 of a gallon back in your body. Hope this answers most of your guys questions. CB |
