I've read the common boa can get to 10 feet long. That's a lot of snake! |

Excluding the anaconda, if you really check the pics out I think this is the largest snake. Doesn't really seem that way until you look close.

LOL. Yep, just that small group of pics but man there are BCI and BCC alike that are just ginormous in those shots. They all look good but some have really maintained their color thorough adulthood. I thought it was common to darken up. Curious as to peoples opinions: Do you consider those managable (not the anaconda)? There are some smaller ladies holding them but that's just for the pic. |

I don't consider anything over 8 feet to be managable by a single person alone.Yes you can make do and probably will be fine 99% of the time. It's that 1% that makes it scary. The good thing is it's so very rare to even hear about a BCC or BCI attacking it's owner, they certainly become quite tractable and readable as far as perosnality and body language goes.A snake that large is hard pressed to be subtle when it's cranky lol |

There are some BCC there but there are also BCI. BCI is a total roll of the dice. You may get a female that tops out at 5.5 or...12. |

I couldn't keep a snake that big. That 1% is too scary for me. Not to mention the poo stench. |

Anything larger than a carpet python seems like too much of a pain in the ass to me. |

You totally misread what I was saying.....two years ago. I was talking about the snakes on the linked page. I was saying that if you throw out the anancondas on that page that the snake from the pic I posted in my post was probably the largest on that page. No shit retics and burms are bigger than BCI's and BCC's. I'm well aware. ;-) |

Internet communication can be funny sometimes. I can read that the same way you did now. |
