hey, most OGers know i'm always supportive of RS'ing, so just weighing pros & cons: --pros-- 1) will have subforum for discussion of techniques/tips/posting of photoshops and romoshops in one centralized location --cons-- 1) probably not as much traffic as the OG - just look at the other subforums for proof |

Not only that, the quality of the OG romoshops will be greatly enhanced thereby adding to the professionalism that is inherent on this forum. This will undoubtedly draw more business to mma.tv as up and coming romoshoppers will feel the need to purchase a bluename to showcase their skills. The fame of the romoshop will spread accross the globe and we will achieve our goal of world domination! And finally, WE WILL RULE! *this post needs theme music* |

LOL. As far as the traffic in the PSG...I would see it as more of a place to ask questions, check out tutorials, ect, ect....a learning place, with everything there archived. All or most RSs would still be posted here on the OG, where they will be seen by the most peoples. Ya dig? All in favor? |

"Just download copies of the Lynda's and VTC tutorials and be done with it" Links to shit like that...tutorials, font DL sites, ect would all be included and archived in the PSG. |

I have had problems with PS made PNG files not maintaining their transparent background when using them in FLASH animations, but found that that only happened if my computers color setting was at HIGH COLOR 16 bit setting. |

dajuisher, i'm not nhbphotographer, but something like that, my thoughts would be to: lasso the various gumballs you want to keep the color. paste them as new layers. the orig layer you desaturate. if you look carefully at the bar in the middle you can see a reflection of a yellowish gumball. not sure if it's the green or not. if it was yellow reflection, then yellow gumball was desaturated. that is one way to do it, i'm sure there may be other ways to do it. nhbphotographer did an awesome job with that and the other pix. |

Hate to be negative, but doesn't Photoshop have enough real forums of its own? I get the relation with most of the other forums (I think music forum was a mistake,) but this is just going to guarantee that no average users are going to see Romoshop challenges, etc. -r |

djdb, i think most on this thread propose the forum to be an archive of sorts. the romoshops will be on OG and will be moved to PSG when thread has run its course. there are probably loads of PS forums, but probably none with MMA fans/fighters, or the sheer numbers of the OG. |

I guess I just don't see the purpose. Generally, the standard here has been: if users complain because a topic is "in the way," pushing hottie threads off the bottom (e.g. Holyground, Heperground) or because their threads are lost in the noise before getting answered (e.g. Legalground.) Or someone campaigns for it for no other reason than they want a place to be a mod (e.g. soundground.) I don't see any of these scenarios here. No reason to limit your viewership. But whatever. -r |

"Or someone campaigns for it for no other reason than they want a place to be a mod (e.g. soundground.) " why would any one want to be a mod with all the flak they get :-) |

The gumball thing: You just start with a color photo & select a color range, then strip out the color (or change it if you want.) e.g. the gumball machine is red, so you select red through yellow, & strip out the color from the selection. That leaves you with just some gumballs between purple-green, which you can then change individually using the same technique. Or you can start by selecting just, say, blue & inverting the selection, etc. -r |
