Matt, I am not sure if you are going to be reading this but I just had to drop you a note. You are, by far, the most entertaining literary mixed martial artist on the planet. Your written responses to Phil and Tony are classic in the "thinking man's" rebuttal to the trash talking that these two have decided to undertake with you. I just called Matt Lindland a dick. Allow me to further kiss his ass in an attempt to bury this one. Matt, had I know that was you, I would have most assuredly thrown in a joke about Tony's mama, or the kind of car he putt-putt's around his ghetto in. I'm still also quite mad about the fact that Dana's shaftin you the way he is, by not having you signed to a multi-fight, reasonably paying contract. He's a great example of everything that is wrong with that organization, such as disproportinate contracts, biases towards fighters, which eventually equates to the UFC's biggest problem... lack of talent where it's needed the most. Guys like you. Kick Fryklund's ass. |

Only thing that could have made it better was if Matt had somehow worked in a slam on Phil.
It just doesnt seem right that a Lindland verbal assualt leaves out a target like Phil. Better watch out Matt-- 2004 is Phils year. He isnt messing around!

Great, great stuff by Matt. I'm a University professor and I was impressed with Matt's writing. He's an outstanding guy in person too - I had the pleasure of sitting next to him on a plane flight and he was totally cool. TTT for the Law. |
