Would it be possible to lose 7 pounds by Saturday morning (7/17 8:00-10:00 am) and recover in time for a grappling tournament in the afternoon (2:00pm)? If so, how would you suggest going about doing that? |

Start right now by doing cardio in the AM before eating ANYTHING. Try running either outdoor or on the treadmill. Cut back on any dairy or fat/sugar. Keep your food clean like Chicken and Rice. Maybe some broccli. If you do this for the next 4-5 days you should have lost about 3-4 pounds. Make an easy cut either the night before the tournanment with some plastics and then you wanna sip on some pedialite for the first 30 miuntes and then you can eat and drink but don't go right in to sugar too fast or you might upset your stomach. Let me know if you need more detail on the cutting part. 7 pounds is very easy in 5 days. |

What should I be doing for the cut session the night before, just more cardio? How long should this be done for (until I reach weight or close to it)? As far as diet I eat small meals every 3 hours, should I alternate between chicken and a carb, both in one meal or how would that go? The last meal of the day should be around 6pm, correct? Thanks for you help. |

Hey, I just read your thread, and im going to follow it to a tee. I am 242lbs at 11% body fat, I am competing in 8 days. I will start drinking lots of water and running 1 hour waking up and 1 hour before going to bed. I have 18 pounds to lose. Im confident I can weigh in at 224 next saturday. I'll let you know my progress, I've been eating clean for the last 2 months losing 23lbs and 10% bodyfat. I also read Whey protein was bad...Im using 100% pure whey with 45g of protein and 1g of grams per scoop. I don't see how I would need to cut that out. I also stopped lifting weights during the last 2 weeks to speed my weight loss. |

Good thread! It is even recommended/linked on a kickboxing website (by the owner of the site). There is going to be a whole lot of lean, scrawny little guys with big muscles all over the world. |

How do you get past the hunger cravings and the headaches? (I get headaches when I don't eat enough and feel weak) |

Chris when you say cardio is that anaerobic/interval training or aerobic/steady-pace? Will you go over this when you come to Toronto? I have some questions, not really for losing a specific weight, but for just getting shredded before vacation time :) Gotta attract them OC-type girls. Speaking of which, hope you deleted that email ;p |
