I haven't laughed that hard at something in my entire life. Seriously. This forum is a great idea ... lots of potential. But the intro has got to go. This is of course only my opinion. I truly look forward to everyone's contributions. |

DasBeaver, It's a bit overdone. The mixture of poor humor and pretentious references makes me cringe. The writer of that intro takes himself (or herself) way too seriously if you ask me. Did any of that make sense? I hope I got my point across. Actually, this should do it: "This is a forum for artists of all stamps. It is for painters, writers, photographers, sculptors, illustrators and poets. It is for dreamers and thinkers, madmen and martyrs. Philosophy of life nailed to the fridge. Crayola musings on the livingroom wall." That is just plain stupid. |

DasBeaver, I laughed at that too. reverend john, I expressed my desire to see people's art. I am truly impressed by the artistically-talented. If I took "it" too seriously, why did I laugh harder than ever before? Also, if my taking issue with the intro page garners hostility (from a moderator-reverend, no less) then I'll never purchase a Pro Membership. Like anyone cares though, right? |

Can you explain how there was any hostility in what I said? I just thought it was funny that someone said Ferox was taking anything to seriously. No hostility at all. And moderator reverends are usually assholes, so pay not attention to them, buy a pro name anyways. My comment about wanting to see more art had nothing to do with your post, just expressing my desire to see more art. Just for more info, I smiled the whole time typing this. I shook my head thinking, how could anyone think I was angry. I am now filled with love and compassion for all of mankind. I want to give the world a coke. the rev |

"I want to give the world a coke." but the world is diabetic...you can't win. I ask what art is a lot, I like discussing it with people. the intro was a tad over the top, but that's okay, I thought it was interesting. sometimes a little excessiveness gives us things in which to talk about passionately. and yes, crap IS subjective. |
