Roy, I have a question for you. When mounted against an opponent who has at least 6 lessons in jujitsu the first thing he will do is bridge or elbow scape. Most will do both in combination. I know how to handle the bridge (i.e. set up a choke -- if he rolls its too late). But how do you set up a counter to the elbow escape? I would prefer an answer along the lines of "You prepare the counter first by doing this, then if he elbow scape he gets caught with this" as opposed to he elbows escapes and then you react by doing this or that., Thank you! |

Simple: Do not allow him to put his arms in posture. Drive his wrists to the ground and begin to attack his neck. Roy Harris |
