Royals fired Allan Baird, and now have Dayton Moore, owner David Glass was a Walmart executive and thus the Royals are a fucking wholesale farmteam. If a player gets good here, bet your ass we'll trade him to the A's or whoever. These guys are running possibly the worst franchise in all of sports. |

Phillies GM Pat Gillick has put a weak pitching staff on the field, but I blame ownership for that too. |

I gave Tim Purpura a chance to prove himself after he took over following the 2004 season. He immediately got sucked into the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes, which they probably had no chance of winning to begin with. He let Jeff Kent walk, signed Morgan Ensberg (.207 BA, .359 SLG%) to a stupid contract, cost himself about $15 million by failing to sign Roy Oswalt a year earlier than he did....and another $10 or so on Berkman under the same circumstances. Yes, he signed Carlos Lee, who has been excellent. He also signed Woody Williams (40 years old, 4-10, 5.47 ERA) to a TWO-YEAR deal. And then, in the mother of all fuckups, he trades a legit CF, Willy Taveras (.320 BA, 46 Runs, 20 steals), and two decent pitching prospects (Jason Hirsh and Taylor Bucholz, both 25) for Jason Jennings, who is in his walk year and so far is 1-4 with a 4.07 ERA and a WHIP over 1.30. Oh, and he failed to re-sign Andy Pettitte. I think that about sums it up...... |

Littlefield is awful, but it is hard to tell how much of that is because the ownership won't let him spend any money. |

Nutting allotted around $40 million for payroll and the Bucs only spent $36. There was talk of going out and spending the remainder of it to upgrade the major league roster - which they didn't do. Then they had a chance to draft the catcher from Georgia Tech (Witters?) that is supposed to be a "can't miss" prospect. Instead they select a relief pitcher because is "signable". That is why there are fan protests at PNC. They just might be the worst run team in pro sports. |

Whoever is the gm of the Texas Rangers is pretty fucking bad. Every year they acquire another power hitter and they never trade for any pitching. When they inevitably tank during the season they ask waaaay to much in return for a trade of their players so everyone turns them down. Not to mention that they paid Alex Rodriquez about 50 million more than they had to. |
