We took our puppy for its 1st vet visit and was diagnosed with kennel couth. I initially thought it was a cold because it sounded like she was sneezing. Vet said it was common and prescribed anti-biotics through a syringe orally. The problem is, my puppy doesn't want to open her mouth. How can I make it easy for her to take the Rx? Thanks in advance fellas. |

Just calmly but firmly open it's mouth. You can try to just relax it first with some massage & rubs and should have no problems. If you're still having trouble then I recommend sliding a finger along the teeth to the back and wedge a finger behind the back molars and turn it to pry the mouth open easily. |
