Just got a 58% on my "Statistics for Strategy Problems" exam. I think I'm going to shoot myself. This class has become the bane of my existance! |

According to that statictis, you have a 90% chance of failing the rest of the class |

Well that's reassuring. We're doing Regression right now, which so far is quite a bit easier. |

Go talk to the prof, see what you need to do to get a passing grade in the class. Also go to office hours and get your homework looked at, even if you think you understand it. If they see that you really give a shit, they're more likely to nudge you up to passing. |

"According to that statictis, you have a 90% chance of failing the rest of the class" Statistics predict for groups, not individuals. |

Goddamn! We just had another test, and I really thought I knew my shit, but apparently not because I only got a 73%. This is the first semester I've actually been challenged, and I'm not doing too well as a result. :P I am a shitty student. |

"Stats can include singular objects, like dice (die for singular?) " Statistics predict for groups of data and not on an individual outcome.
With a die yea there is a 1/6 chance. But in statistics terms the die would be rolled many times and data on this would be used.

Ummm, if you're learning Regression, aren't your scores supposed to be getting lower? |
