Go nuts. US has a chance with something like 6-10 eligible Canadian players playing in the NHL instead. Any guesses to how many points Crosby would rack up against the kids? Three, 4, 5 points a game? |

lol. We only made it 3 posts before you started setting up your excuses. Very Rorion Gracie of you. If Canada wins = Canada is the best. If Canada doesn't win = Canada is still the best because their best players aren't even playing. Mark |

Mark needs to learn to swim in the pure waters of Canada. Hockey = Canada, anyone winning a hockey game = Canada wins. Case closed |

"If Canada wins = Canada is the best. If Canada doesn't win = Canada is still the best because their best players aren't even playing." Lol dumbass, of course whatever team that wins is the best for the year. If Canada does not win, you dont think having 10 NHL'ers on the team might make a difference? Including the M.F.'ing best forward in the NHL??? |

"Including the M.F.'ing best forward in the NHL???" Zetterberg is NOT a Canadian, IMO. Sheesh. Mark |

"Czechs will make you fuckers cry in your beer!" Steamfitter owned, again: John Tavares scored twice in his world junior championship debut and goaltender Jonathan Bernier earned the shutout as Canada opened the tournament with a 3-0 win over host Czech Republic. |

Bernier was fantastic. Those first five minutes were heat. The team settled down nicely after the first goal. I'm supposed to work tomorrow, but the morning will consist of us all going to watch the Slovakia game. |

Yeah the moral of the story was, throwing bottles on the ice won't help your team score. |

Work is canceled today for the Canada - Slovakia game. Gotta love a country where businesses shut down for hockey. |

"The Czechs scored a moral victory over the hated Canuckistanians." True. From what I read, the czechs controlled a lot of the first period and half the second period. Good job, and a moral victory for them. Mark |

You know a team is great when people consider losing 3 - 0 a moral victory for the losing team. |

The Canadian team in the first period looked awful. They were all over the place trying to put the puck in the net. It reminded me of a teen boy trying to get in a girl's pants for the first time. |

2 - 0 for Canada vs Slovakia. "Canada has not surrendered an even strength goal since the second game of the 2007 tournament, a shutout streak of more than 370 minutes. The win extended Canada's streak at the tournament to 20 games since they last lost. They also maintained their unbeaten record against the Slovaks to six games." The Swedes are next. |

Canada is already having problems scoring. Only 5 goals against 2 pretty weak teams would scare me if I were a Canadian fan. I hope they figure out how to pick up the offence, as 2.5 goals/game isn't gonna beat the offensive powerhouses like the Russians and Americans. Mark |
