My new, and up-coming, instructionals DVD series will be entitled, "The Harris Jiu Jitsu 100 series." This series will host thirty-four (34) brand new instructionals, each one will present a different topic. The series will be basic and comprehensive at the same time! Plus, these instructionals will address a host of NEW TOPICS that have never been addressed on DVD....anywhere ! After I finish filming this series, I plan to film an HJJ 200, an HJJ 300 series and a few other "Surprise" series! More news to come in early March! Roy Harris |

InvisiblePinkUni, Actually, I haven't created a new definition. Everything depends on perspective. Allow me to explain: I assume you believe that March 15th is mid-month. I assume you think this way because YOU like simpler equations - divisions by two. However, there are others who think differently. There are people walking this planet who divide things by three. For example, there are some people (like me) who divide the month into thirds: 1-10 the beginning of the month, 11-20 the middle of the month, 21-30 the end of the month. These people do not feel the need to be so precise. They give themselves plenty of breathing room because they understand how LIFE happens. They understand how the best made plans can go awry very quickly because of a host of uncontrollable things that may happen along the way. So for me, anytime between the eleventh and the twentieth is considered the middle of the month. And since today is the twentieth of March, I still fall within those guidelines ; ) ------- Now, for the update on the instructionals. Life has happened once again. Here's the scoop: I. I needed to get the first two or three instructionals finished by Thursday, March 13, because on Friday, March 14, my seminar season kicks into full gear. In other words, EVERY WEEKEND will be busy from March 14 all the way through the weekend of July 13. That means, no time to film new instructionals during this period. (While I can film during the daytime hours, those who help me with the filming work Monday through Friday, 8-4, 9-5. So, the best days for them to help me are Saturday and Sunday. So you know what this means? II. I asked an artist to do some artwork for these new DVDs back in November 2007. To date, he has yet to deliver them to me. I have paid him for this new artwork and he told me he has finished the work. However, I do not have the artwork in my possession. Since I have paid for the work, I cannot go to another artist and start all over. So, I am stuck waiting - and unfortunately, so are you. III. On my birthday, I got a few surprises: 1. At 9:30pm, after teaching class all day (since 11am), I went out to my BMW and found the driver's side rear quarter panel and bumper smashed in. Fun : ( 2. I walked back to my academy to get my Canon GL2 camcorder (which I use to film my instructionals) to record the damage on my vehicle and found the camcorder was broken. Grrrrrrrr.........I paid $3000 for this camcorder two years ago. And now that it's out of warranty, I'm gonna have to pay out of pocket for this damage : ( Can you feel my pain? 3. I went to grab my other camcorder and found that the battery would not take a charge. So there I was, without a camcorder and unable to film or take pictures of the damage to my car. So I ended up taking pictures with the camera on my phone. Needless to say, these surprises are gonna cost me (both time and money). So, with no artwork, no camcorder, and a busy seminar schedule through July 13th, the HJJ 100 instructional DVD series has been officially put on hold. Now, for the good news: The titles of the new series! Instead of making people DIG for this info in this post, I will put these titles on another post entitled, "HJJ 100 series." Good training to you, Roy Harris |
