This is the best lineup I have seen in many years, even better than any lineup the Yankees have assembled. When you acquire a guy like Edgar Renteria who batted .320 last year and he is 7th in the lineup you know its stacked.....yet they can't do shit, what is wrong with them? |

Unreal. They're getting destroyed again today, they were down 11-0 last I saw. I don't feel so bad that my Astros are 4-8 when I see the Tigers getting wrecked daily. |

I picked them as a possible World Series showing. I watched the White Sox run them over today, it was horrid |

It's a long season, no need to panic yet. Remember last year? They were world-beaters until the all-star break, then stunk the place up. |

they just moved cabrera to first and guillen to 3rd. but as said above, it's a long season and i wouldn't worry much if i was a detroit fan. it's not like David Ortiz going keep hitting at a .110 pace and Sabathia giving up 10 runs in every game. |

37 Runs in the 3 game series against Texas = over 12 runs/game, and their bullpen has a 0.85 ERA in the last 7 games. I give the Tigers 2 weeks before they are in 1st place in the AL Central. |

I'm in Lakeland, and watch their Single-A plus team play all the time. They have a great 19 year old pitcher, Rick Porcello, in the system this year (just drafted). He hit 99mph tonight, and has good off speed stuff. Won't help the Tigers this year, but it won't be long! |

Pitching will ultimately be their downfall. They'll finish a game or two over .500 |

Too bad they aren't hitting. If they got their bats going, they'd be 10 games up! |

They just added Jarrod Washburn. That should really solidify their starting rotation. Mark |

porcello's judo throw is spot on :) (eat a dick youkilis) and it's not their pitching that's threatening their standing, it's the cold bats. they can't get anything synched, mags heats up and inge goes cold. cabrera has been ok, but he should be crushing right now. if it wasn't for polanco and grandy tigers offense would probably be a lot worse off... but anyway you cut it AL central is the best pennant race right now, close action makes for good baseball. three teams neck and neck, and the last games of the season are all twins/chisox/tigers duels so it'll be down to the wire. great time to be a baseball fan, as frustrating as it gets sometimes... |

adjust - TRU DAT! But part of it is because the division is so weak this year. The Sox are still somewhat in it despite being a team that's really only had 3 constants in the rotation and 3-4 guys dependable in the pen. What's killed them is their sub-par record against the division. They've got the best record in the division over the East, but as usual, seem to struggle with the teams they should beat. Tigers have played really well against the West. Still, it's good to have things |

way to go huff! way to come alive in style, 9th inning game tying in the rain pouring 3 run jack... afterwards he said it was as important to him as his first home run as a rookie. that might be the turning point right there. |

I'm a HUGE Tigers fan, have been all my life, so the collapse last year just destroyed me. I broke a few things around my house at the end of the playoff. I'm looking forward to a (for the most part) younger team than last year to see what kind of future they can build. Motor City Kittys FTMFW! |
