Over the last couple of weeks I have been acting as a sparring partneir for a friend that is coaching mma fighters. One of his fighters lost a sparring partneir due to a neck injury so I was asked if I would jump in. By force of habit I wound up using a great number of Coach Blauer's tactics that worked like a champ in the cage. I was amazed how easily they were transferable from 'street tactic' to cage effective. My fighting stance was altered duly to years of training the BTS way. Unlike the conventional boxing stance I adopted the close quarter combat stance with a lightly closed fist. Still keeping my lead hand intercepting my partneirs eyeline and my axis forward. I was amazed how well everything worked. It made me feel pretty good when my friend began implimenting a lot of what I was doing in sprring (thanks to Coach Blauer and Torres)in this fighters training.
