Wife is not much of a drinker but wants to experiment with different fruity wines. She bought a bottle of Wiederkehr Concord, and it is just nasty, I asked her how much she paid and she said 6 dollars, I figure thats why. She is looking for something that doesn't have a big alcohol taste or burn so I figured fruity. What say you? thanks

Go to your local wine merchant and ask for some recommendations in your price range. If you're happy with the service or attitude find another one.

I've always enjoyed Banfi Chianti Classico. Try some pinot noirs also, they're very user friendly.
