Guilty on one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. ***Insert Victory Dance Here*** |

Thank you, thank you. I think so too. It was a funny case. When the search warrant was served, they found a little less than 3/4lb of Marijuana in a jointly occupied closet. They found 2 grams in a purple fluffy thing on a dresser. 15 tabs of MDMA in a men's watch container on a dresser. 5 grams of Marijuana in a red purse. We effectively pinned all of it with the exception of the 7 grams on the co-defendant who had already plead out. My closing was "Ladies and gentleman, the evidence has shown co-defendant x is a thug. Thugs don't have purple fluffy things and don't wear a purse. Now, I'm sure there is a gang somewhere that is proving me wrong, but it isn't a gang in Raleigh. So the 7 grams were hers. The rest was his. Misdemeanor possession is the only just verdict!" |
