I had a verbal agreement to buy a Mini 14 from a guy but he ended up selling it to someone else who already had a permit (in Hawaii it takes 2 weeks to get a permit to acquire). I understand his side but what pisses me off was that he was rude and unapologetic about it. If he had said "I'm sorry, a guy came with cash and permit in hand and i sold it" that would be fine. I think I'll get another handgun instead now. |

On the bright side, you can LOL at this dumbass for selling his Mini-14 at a time like this (assuming it wasn't a gunstore or something) |

Yeah It's hard here because we have to wait 2 weeks to get a permit. It was a nice gun too, stainless barrel and upper. Son of a bitch. |

Not one of those shotguns; a saiga .223. It's basically an AK with no pistol grip that fires .223 caliber rounds. They make them chambered in 7.62x39&51 as well. It's a cheaper option than a mini, and from what I hear, it is reliable. It is an AK platform after all. |

OK, I might be going to Oregon this year and I'd like to go to a gun show. Here in Hawaii we get raped when we buy guns. |

There is a show near my town next weekend. If one is there and the right price, I'll pick one up I think. |

whats a reasonable price for a used Mini 14? Ive got a line on one at 400$ comes with a 15 round clip. its definitely not new, but theyve only been produced since the 70's so it cant be too old. |

I'd say it's a blessing. Get a Saiga in Oregon. ;) |

I am thinking of getting an AR 15 now. Hopefully I can get it for around a grand. |

I just had a guy locally turn me down for buying his pistol because he lives 4 miles from me, OVER THE STATE line and didn't want the hassle of dropping it off at an FFL on my side. I was like, WTF. You either want to sell it or you don't and I guess you don't. Low and behold few days later, it's still listed. Gee, he could have sold it days ago but didn't want to drive 5 minutes. |

Kantoa, what are the gun laws like in Hawaii? Are they gun friendly like Florida or communist like New York? |

Hawaii has the worst gun laws in the USA IMO. Maybe NJ is worse. |
