I'm talking about the Oakland shootings. I've never met those officers, yet I feel raw on the inside. Unfortunately, I get that feeling way too often. America's heroes aren't only in the desert. |

Yes, the loss is felt. Did you see the video of the people roaming the streets calling the shooter a hero? Sick, Sick people. |

Yeah I have. The saying "People who make enemies of the Police better be willing to be friends with criminals" comes to mind. I guess many already have. |

For every predator who has been righteously deprived of his freedom for the crimes he has committed, there are now all his potential victims who have the freedom to live their lives without becoming his prey. Now with the Pittsburg guys getting shot. Bad fucking month. Responding to domestics. Hate it. Gives you that bad feeling in the back of your mind on each one. 04-08-09 was the 4 year date of one of my guys getting killed on the job. Car wreck but still hurts bad. |

I don't know the exact numbers, but it SEEMS during that week (maybe even month), more American cops were killed in the states than U.S. troops were KIA in Iraq/Afghanistan. edited: not meant to be disrespectful to our military (served in the USMC myself), just stating my impression. |
