Heard it through the grapevine that Matt "The Jackal" Jubera took the gold in his weight div. and bronze in the brown belt open in the pan am bjj championship. He received his black belt in bjj from Saulo and Xande. Matt also advised that USA world judo medalist Brian Olson has been coming to his dojo to help out a few times per with judo. Olson competes -198 and is a long, strong bad ass. Great judoka. Matt believes Olson's appearances will be a big boost to his training for the bjj worlds. WAY TO GO JACKAL!!! |

Walt, I really applaud the Riberios for bringing a top judo guy like Olson(who competed for us in 90K Beijing Olympics) and has fought world caliber players throughout his career. He has great foot trips/sweeps that are perfect for BJJ. I have to make one of these BJJ tournamnets in the future to watch Matt fight. Congrats to all who helped Matt in his developement and accomplishments. |
