MMA returns to Reading on Friday, September 25th, with an anticipated 14-fight Pro/Am card. Tony Williams is set to make his professional MMA debut at Ninth St. Slaughter on Friday, September 25, at Club 1402 in Reading. His roots can be traced back to the Pacific Northwest and to old-school training with the likes of Maurice Smith and lockflow.com founder Charlie Pearson in 2002. The 25-year-old splits his training between The Cage MMA Academy in Temple, Northern First Southern Cross in downtown Reading and the YMCA of Reading & Berks County today. Williams will have ended his amateur career 4-2-0 with a quick first round win over Jim Gerner of Anthracite Combat Club in Schuylkill Haven via TKO by Referee Stoppage from Strikes at Pain On Penn Street on May 30. Williams is expected to face Pennsylvania states wrestler Dan Baker of Shark Cage Gym in Montgomery. www.MMAinPA.com |
