OK just played a game yesterday. I was trying to ruck the opposing team ball. The rucked right over the ball and over me. I was still on my feet and there was no one on rucking the ball from them because they all blew by me. I reached down and picked up the ball. I was called for a penatly. Should I have been penalized? |

You should have punched one of them as they went by. |

Sounds like the ball was out, and you should not have been penalized. |

Reffing rugby union has to be one of the toughest jobs out there. Trying to police the ruck and the scrum seem to me to be next to impossible. I think they just blow the whistle every once in a while and take a guess in the hopes of keeping the players honest. |
