My doctor recommended this for Vitamin D.

Does anyone else here take this stuff? Are some brands better than others? How do capsules compare to the liquid form? Would taking generic fish oil supplements give me the same benefit?

I tried my first dose today. It didn't smell too bad, but jeez was it nasty. It would take several of the capsulses I looked at to equal the vitamin content of one teaspoon of the oil, so I may have to sacrifice come convenience if I can't get used to the taste.
