Hi i'm going to live out my bjj dream of coming down to the MECCA or BJJ: Rio! I'm not there till july 12th, but i want to get most of the stuff out of the way; like housing? I've been looking online and the best that i can find is a studio for $1800R a month. And they want me to pay 50% now! So my question is, what is the best way to look for affordable housing when visiting rio? Should i just stay at a hostel for a week and look for a place then, or should i just book something now? Thanks guys! |

Check easyquarto.com and couchsurfing. Look around Largo do Machado for the best deals. You can get lucky in Copacabana sometimes. Call the schools and ask for help with lodging. Give them a figure like 1000R close to Largo do Machado and see what they come up with. |
