Pennsylvania Underground >> Any PA gun owners here?

Hi guys.

I would like to purchase a firearm, though I really don't know much about the process (specifically in PA) and was hoping someone could give me a step-by-step walkthrough on what I should do and what it's like to go shopping for a gun. What types of questions should I have? What information is useful?

I was considering looking at a Makarov pistol, as even though I want something decent, it doesn't have to be anything crazy or absurdly expensive. I am a novice and am just looking for a decent "starter" gun for home defense and ease of concealed carry.  In general, Makarovs specifically, seem to cost signficantly less than its peers (Glock, etc.), somewhere in the $200-$300 range.

Can someone point me in the right direction?
