Question for all the old time kickboxing fans! How come this fight between Benny and Fujiwara never materialized? Benny was a rock star in japan in the late 70s and fujiwara at the same time, was the first japanese (or foreign) fighter to ever win a lumpini stadium title. what ever prevented this mega kickboxing fight from happening? |

So was it basicaly benny not wanting to fight under full muaythai rules? Both were around the same weight,I think? and benny claimed to have fought and beaten everyone in japan under any rules.I did see a interview were benny talks about elbows being to inhuman for sporting aspects. |

Somebody must have tried to make this happen but I guess only their managers probably know the real scoop. |

Benny probably asked for too much money. That would be my bet. Fujiwara fought under many rules, doubt the rules were the real issue. |
