Started with this mess. http://i52.tinypic.com/f5l3b.jpg 8 hours later ended up with this. http://i56.tinypic.com/dvit6s.jpg Switched the whole network from that mess, unmanaged dlink switches to a Cisco Catalyst 6500, took out crappy Tripplite UPS's and moved to APC rackmounts. Happy to have that done before the Xmas break, take a look at that mess!! |

droplogic - Nice job. I think I see velcro strapping instead of zip ties, necessity. Went with velcro and only near where they plug into the switch, left the cables hanging free in the cable holds but yet still organized so we can trace them out with ease if need be. Went from 15ft cables to 6ft-9ft, all that extra length was just insane. |

nice job! i just started working at a Qwest datacenter and saw lots of examples of the before and the after pics |
