i'm not expert but i vary...not random but depending on where i'm at seating and how good my hand is and who has folded or is left to act yet(depending on how they have played so far) |

Pretjah, the argument against doing that is that it makes your hands easier to read since there is likely to be a pattern to them. |

I raise based on position. If I am first to act, I'll raise very little, maybe minimum. If I'm late to act, I'll bet more (around 3x, more depending on the table). I don't change my raise amount based on the cards I have. |

tournaments? Cash games? tourneys I vary, cash games its pretty much consistent because stacks are consistent. The reason why raise size varies is simply because stacks are so small relative to the blinds. |
