Suspected child porn found in home of tae kwon do instructor RoNeisha Mullen / The Detroit News Police have found what they suspect is child pornography in the home of a martial arts instructor who allegedly sexually assaulted one of his students over the weekend. On Tuesday, police executed a search warrant on the Scio Township home of Edward James Bruner, where they found disks they believe contain child pornography, said Sgt. Since the arrest, a 19-year-old has reported being sexually assaulted by Bruner six years ago and a third victim has also come forward, according to authorities. Bruner served as a part-time instructor at Kitchi Tae Kwon Do in Dexter Township, where he taught the victim and other students. He was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of criminal sexual conduct and is being held without bond in the Washtenaw County jail. He could face more charges, Smith said. Police are encouraging anyone who is a victim or knows of victims to speak up. "Anybody that knows this gentleman and wants to make a statement about something that has happened in the past, we want to talk to them," said Sgt. Chris Pascoe of the Michigan State Police. Smith said police received information that he was a Boy Scout troop leader at one point. |
