 So I know the death tax has been passed and put into effect. I understand the Government can tax up to 35% of an inheritance. My question is i've heard two different stories on this, the first being they ONLY tax you on an inheritance of over 1 Million dollars which would be 35%. The other story was they tax you a certain perfect on ANY amount depending on that amount.  So which one applies?
