 may 7th lamont stafford will make his way from oklahoma city to ashland kentucky to take on jason butcher. lamonts last fight pictured above was against ultimate fighter contestant Jules bruchez. lamont is 2-0 and won both by ko, gonna be a good one |

Butcher is a very solid young fighter and was quite impressive in this fight. I had the pleasure of sitting just a few feet from the cage next to Bellator vet Greg Maynard, and we both agreed that Spartan Fighting Championships put on yet another great show. |

Butcher will be fighting a rematch against StrikeForce vet Dom Steel in Jan. Steel stepped in last friday for an injured Butcher and fought Josh Blanchard for the Spartan Pro LHW title. ( First Pro title MMA fight in Ky ). The first time they fought Butcher won by KO :45 sec into the first round. But according to Dom and his trainer and teammates, hes not the same fighter that Butcher faced the first time. Steel is on a 5 fight winning streak since his fight with Butcher. After the fight, which is on GFL BTW, Steel took the mic and called Butcher to the cage. He then asked promoter Terry Callihan for a rematch with Butcher as his first title defense. |
