He's not even the fastest guy on the Wings though, aren't they saying this Mursak kid is faster? Raymond, Cogliano, Gaborik, Glencross, Lombardi, Cole, Carter all can have a case made as well and are right up there. |

Nah, I don't think Mursak is all that fast. Actually, Draper said that Helm was the fastest on the team and probably in the NHL. And coming from Draper, thats a pretty significant compliment. Mark |

...and he's not biased at all ;) In all seriousness Helm is absolutely in the discussion. I hear he had a 13.8 lap in the AHL that is still talked about, fwiw Raymond had a 13.4something in Van's comp last year & is right up there as well. Interesting poll by CBC released in january via the NHLPA with 318 players responding & 37% saying Gaborik is fastest, Marleu getting 2nd most votes with 11% and Helm 3rd most with 8% |
